About the role

Christian Aid is the lead for a consortium of four agencies implementing a DFID funded Accountable Grant on Public Financial Management, Revenue and Anti-corruption in Sierra Leone. Christian Aid is working with Restless Development, Budget Advocacy Network and the Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law.

Reporting to the senior programme officer, the role is responsible for oversight and support of partner operations within the Eastern region of Sierra Leone. This includes partner management and representation, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and oversight of project activities and organising/running regional outreach and events. The role will provide up to date reports to the senior programme officer and consortium programme manager with the aim of ensuring that the intended project activities and outcomes are achieved.

 

About you

We’re looking for someone with experience in project management/delivery, someone who is motivated, a self-starter who can build relationships with a wide range of different stakeholders.

At least three years of relevant professional experience is required. Experience in working with civil society organisations will be important for the role, as well as experience in producing and disseminating communications materials. The candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills in order to engage with district/regional government and civil society organisations. Proven experience in project management and delivery, preferably in a similar context, is key for the role. Someone who can innovative, monitor results and adapt in order to achieve impact. Analytical and computer skills required, including MS Office and Kobo collect. A bachelor’s degree in international development, international relations, business, economics, finance or related field is required.

Knowledge and experience on public financial management/anti-corruption/tax projects would be an advantage, as would previous experience working in Sierra Leone and the Eastern region. Experience working on DFID projects also desirable.
