    About BoPInc
    Since 2010 the BoP Innovation Center (BoPInc) facilitates pro-poor innovative business strategies for companies, with the aim to include people in low-income markets in enterprises as producers and consumers.
    Since the end of 2012, we are implementing the 2SCALE program together with our partner IFDC, and as of 2019 also with SNV. 2SCALEis one of the largest agribusiness incubators in Africa, working with farmers andentrepreneurs in 8 different countries. 2SCALE builds networks that connect farmers, buyers and intermediaries, enabling them to create and grow new businesses, through providing technical assistance and brokering partnerships with financial institutions and business support services.
    For BoPInc’s BoP consumer marketing activities in 2SCALE in Nigeria we are looking to expand our team with a BoP Marketing Officer, based in Ibadan or Abuja.

    Your roles and main responsibilities
    Lead the implementation, monitoring and reporting on BoP consumer marketing strategies with local SMEs and farmer organizations in Nigeria
    Provide regular, monthly reports on the progress and the impact of the BoP marketing activities to the project manager in the Netherlands and 2SCALE country lead in Nigeria.
    Provide regular reporting on learnings and recommendations for further scale up.
    In close cooperation with the communication officer, you will draft communication materials (blogs, news articles) on interesting lessons/experiences derived from the marketing activities
    Qualifications & Requirements
    At least a bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Administration. Candidates with a background in International Development or Development Economics could also qualify if they can prove work experience in marketing.
    3-5 year work experience, preferably in a consumer marketing position with a larger company, or in a marketing position with a private-sector focused NGO.
    Experience in developing and managing marketing and distribution strategies towards (rural) BoP markets.
    Enthusiastic, goal-oriented person able to work independently on own tasks
    Comfortably fitting in with young, small and international team based in several continents
    Native English writing and verbal communication skills, good command of at least 1 local language is a plus
    Willingness to travel frequently for short-term project assignments around Nigeria and occasionally international travels for team meetings.
