You will play a key role in developing security management policies and practices which ensure the safety and security of over 1000 WaterAid staff based in 35 countries. As an experienced security specialist you will advise and influence Chief Executives, Trustees and all levels of managers and staff. Critically you will maintain an organisational culture where safety and security considerations are high profile. With an understanding of different contexts you will advise country and regional offices on the assessment and mitigation of security risk and support the development of country security plans and actions. Finally you will develop and deliver security training and through your mentorship build the capacity of Security Focal Points in each country.
To be successful, you’ll need to be:
- Someone with extensive experience of security management, ideally in the context of an INGO.
- A strong team player with experience of working remotely across different cultures.
- Someone with a high level of resilience and drive.
