The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) is a public institution with the mandate to contribute to the improvement of the health of populations internationally and nationally through excellence in research, services, and teaching and training. The Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) of the Swiss TPH conducts consultancy, project management, training and applied research work in international health.

To perform our services, we are looking for consultants with proven experience delivering health impacts in complex and challenging operating environments to be integrated in our pool of experts for the following sectors:

Qualifications and skills:

• Minimum Master degree or higher in related field
• Fluency in English (speaking & writing) required and
• Fluency in another language (French, Spanish or Portuguese) is a strong asset
• Strong analytical, writing and reporting skills as well as excellent spoken communication skills essentialProfessional experience:
• Minimum 10 years international experience in your related technical field with demonstrable impact
• Ability to work under pressure, work experience in fragile and operating challenging environments is an asset
• Experience liaising with and supporting the private sector, governments, regional or international organizations and/or civil society organizations in developing countries

By uniquely combining research, services, and education and training, Swiss TPH aims to improve the health and wellbeing of populations through a better understanding of disease and health systems and by acting on this knowledge. As an associated institute of the University of Basel, the five departments of Swiss TPH work across three fields – research, services and education and training – to improve health globally. Swiss TPH is currently active in 300 projects in over 100 countries. We work across a variety of topics from infectious and non-communicable diseases, environment, society and health as well as health systems and interventions. Our expertise spans from the bench to the field, from basic to operational, from molecular to spatial, and from genes to health systems.
