About the Role:
Christian Aid is looking to strengthen its Internal Audit Department with the appointment of an additional Senior Internal Auditor to work in a regional role in Africa. Working in a small team of 2 reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a schedule of approved audits covering (but not restricted to) country programmes and individual grants, primarily in the Africa region. You will also be responsible for supporting the promotion of risk management in the region.
About You:
You will be a qualified accountant and experienced internal auditor with a good understanding of risk management and internal control and how these should be applied within core business processes in the INGO sector. You will have a proven ability to work autonomously, have strong analytical skills, the ability to assimilate a variety of complex and potentially unfamiliar legal, financial and other technical issues quickly and to evaluate the effectiveness of the related control processes. You will be an effective communicator both orally and in writing.

This role requires applicants to have the right to work in the country where this position is based. The position can be based in any country where Christian Aid has an office. This includes DRC, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Burundi, Mali, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Zimbabwe.
The salary will be the local equivalent Christian Aid pay scale of the UK salary quoted. Please see attached the salary for Christian Aid country offices.
