Christian Aid has a vision of a better world, where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. We want to share that vision with young people, and, by helping them to explore issues of global injustice, inspire them to become agents of change.
Through a partnership with the Church of England Education Office, we have developed a new accreditation scheme. This provides a framework to help church schools develop global citizenship in ways that reflect their Christian character.
About the role
Christian Aid Teachers are volunteers who support schools participating in the scheme. They offer guidance and ideas to class teachers, and provide workshops and assemblies
About you
If you would like the opportunity to use your professional expertise in an exciting new project, and to inspire young people to make a difference, then this role could suit you. You will need to have engaging presentation skill and some experience of working in the education system.
You will also be required:
- to be available for a minimum of two visits a term
- to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check
