Purpose of job
We are recruiting for a HR Manager, West Africa Cluster. The incumbent will manage HR operations, overall objectives and business priorities in support of all British Council teams based in Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Cameroon, in line with regional and corporate policies.
What you should have
You should have at least 3 years’ experience and track record in HR Management; experience and understanding of best practice in HR processes and systems; understanding and experience in HR matters relating to the country (and cluster) employment laws. The incumbent must have a University degree or equivalent from a recognised institution.

Main Accountabilities and responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
– Supporting Country Directors and the Senior Management team on the delivery of corporte HR strategies and plans
– Lead in all recruitment and staffing processes for the cluster
– Advise and coach managers and/or staff on HR issues and procedures
– Plan and implement HR projects and change management projects
– Manage learning and development processes
– Oversee and ensure effective performance management process for staff based in the cluster.
– Administration and financial management
– Work with the Regional IKM Manager on the implementation of IKM policies in the country and cluster regarding HR data
– Implementing Equal Diversity and Inclusion in various processes
