British Council Job Vacancy for Digital Campaigns Intern – Kenya Nairobi

Role purpose:
The role will help design and execute digital marketing campaigns that will connect the target audience of young Africans (18-35) to British Council offers that can help them in their education and career aspirations. Principal areas of work include: creating webpages, Facebook ads, email marketing, curating and coordinating online content. The person taking on this internship will likely gain valuable experience in branding across cultures, online audiences in Africa, conversion analytics and strategic thinking within a large organisation.

British Council Core Skills / Role Specific Knowledge and Experience:

Desired Skills and Experience;

  • You must have completed this online ‘Certificate of Online Proficiency’ from Google’s ‘Digital Skills for Africa’ online learning portal
  • Digital marketing, campaign coordination, branding across cultures, online audiences in Africa, conversion analytics
  • Understanding of social media behaviour and web user journeys
  • Communication skills, especially written English
  • Team working
  • Focussed and independent time management
  • Copy writing
  • Experience in blog, story/ feature writing
  • Editorial skills in content planning and content production
  • Image editing ability in Photoshop or Pixlr
To qualify you must…

  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Know how to prioritize and be adaptive to change
