Position: Country Director, ActionAid International SenegalLocation: Dakar, SenegalContract duration: 5 yearsAttractive salary and benefits

As the Country Director (CD), the role represents ActionAid International Federation in Senegal; oversees the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ActionAid Senegal Country Strategy Paper (CSP) and ensure resources are in place to achieve budgeted performance targets.

As the top leadership in the country, you will focus on delivering high standards of ActionAid’s operations in the Senegal and ensuring resources are in place to achieve budgeted performance targets and monitoring overall performance against these targets.

The role requires broad organizational experience to develop and manage a growing team effectively as deep knowledge of Senegal social, political and economic context to make significant improvements to policies and processes that lead to long-term success of ActionAid in Senegal.

You will need to have excellent negotiation and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to handle sensitive diplomatic and Government level advocacy negotiations on matters affecting ActionAid’s Senegal country programme.With post graduate degree in development study, political science and/or organisational management, you must have at least 10 years significant experience working at the top management / executive director position in development work and poverty alleviation programmes with proven initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm in managing complex activities in a changing environment and ability to influence change.

Your background must include proven track record in fundraising and managing complex financial control and management system from diversified resources with the budget size of at least 3 million GBP and above.

As strategic thinker, you will need to have ability to manage a diversified team and built high performance cultures, and have proven change management experience.
