Purpose of job:     To provide BC South Africa Exams with financial support services (50%) and manage relationships with Venue Staff (50%)

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties
:
The postholder will be accountable for venue staff management and the successful and compliant delivery of financial processes for the British Council South Africa Directorate.
The postholder will be responsible for implementing the performance management and professional development activities for all venue staff and for supporting exams staff by completing financial tasks within the BC South Africa Exams portfolio.   Specific duties for finance will include:   ·
Supporting the Exams Finance Officer in processing refunds ·
CIPS account management: creating monthly CIPS invoices; monitoring membership and exams collections; ensuring timely payment to CIPS ·
Supporting the Exams Finance Officer in parking of cash journals ensuring that there are no items older than 30 days on the bank statement. –
Income recognition for all products completed in a timely manner –
Sufficient time allowed to park and post journals before month end deadlines ·
Supporting the Exams Finance Officer in completion of income reconciliations using the approved templates in line with country reconciliations schedule ·
Completing offset journals for CIPS/ACCA ·
Ensuring that all finance support and venue staff management activities are consistent with key equal opportunities and diversity principles   Specific duties for venue staff management will include:   ·
Leading on effective implementation of Back Office Scheduling System across Exams products. ·
Point of contact for all venue staff ·
Conducting feedback exercises and collating information for management ·
Maintaining up to date database of venue staff (contact details, training, performance) ·
Working with HR to organise recruitment exercises for South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique ·
Organising and conducting venue staff performance management activities (spot checks, follow-ups) ·
Monitoring accuracy of timesheets for venue staff payment   a��PYK�/
