We support people living in poverty to claim their rights by directly challenging the systems and structures that keep people poor and by supporting Action Aid programmes with resources and capacity. You will play a critical role supporting the effective and efficient operations of IHART as well as provide high level executive assistance support to our Humanitarian Director.

As the Team Administrator you will support the IHART senior management team and help underpin the smooth running of our humanitarian work around the world. This will include organising and minuting team meetings, global conference calls and project management meetings. You will also support the Humanitarian Director – from diary, travel and correspondence management to acting as the first point of contact for him. You will help the Humanitarian Team with a range of administrative duties – from preparing regular reporting and updating systems to processing invoices and assisting with desk based research. We will look to you to help ensure the team runs smoothly.
You will be calm under pressure and have administrative experience with excellent attention to detail, numerate and highly organised. Naturally good with people, you will have well developed communication, admin and IT skills. Excellent at multitasking you will also be a strong team player who is able take the initiative and prioritise workloads under pressure. Experience gained in the NGO sector would be an advantage. This would be a good role for someone keen to work in a fast-moving environment with a real desire to learn more about humanitarian work and willing to take up a variety of support roles.
