Further to our rapid growth in the Area, Damco Tanzania is currently hiring for Operations Associates to be stationed in Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities
Operations associate will be responsible for planning & executing operational activities related to Operations involving all the file management & operations activities post booking
The incumbent has to act as the owner of the job file and will also be responsible for creating & updating of shipping documents & Customer Invoices in the system. This role will need to closely coordinate with customer service, VAS team, and commercial team members as necessary to ensure that best in class service is given to our customers.
•Plan Shipment
•Send Pre-advice to Destination
•Receive & Prepare Shipping Doc.
•Open shipment on trakit
•Upload shipping docs on trait
•Update trakit on daily basis
•Follow up on OBL till received from consignee before loading cargo
•Handover transit shipment on time to agent
•Follow up shipment from receiving docs till shipment is delivered
•Send final costs to CSO for invoicing
•Arrange delivery note to agents
•Keep CSO updates on shipments
•Make sure empty is returned to ICD
