SOGEA-SATOM manage the permanent operations of VINCI Construction in Africa, where it is active in all the building and civil works trades.
With presence in about 20 countries within the continent, Sogea Satom in 2015 achieved a turnover of 800 million euros, employing more than 10 000 people with among them 400 expatriates from 23 different countries.
Within the framework of our company development in East Africa we are looking for an Administrative and Financial Director/Manager for our Kenyan subsidiary (job based in Nairobi).
Directly attached to the branch manager or to the regional manager if missing, you’ll be in charge of accounting, budgetary control, staff management and all the aspects of administrative tasks.
The annual activity forecast is about 20 millions of euros, with high growth perspectives. You will also have to manage our activities in Tanzania and in all the potential countries in the area where we soon could start new projects.
The main tasks of the position are the following:
– Supervision, animation, and management of the dedicated workforce in relation with the branch manager, the regional manager and the regional financial manager.
– Establishment of the reporting by the deadline.
– Establishment of the quarterly balance sheets and income statements by the deadline.
– Monitoring of the information systems and tools in accordance with the general policy.
– Monitoring the general and cost accounting process following internal rules and processes, and when it occurs implementing corrective actions.
– Monitoring of the tax issues, tax control etc.
– Monitoring of the operation and litigation matters.
– Monitoring the exchange hedges strategy and the cash flow issues especially with local banks.
– Monitoring the surety bond agreements and the setting up of specific agreements or conventions with other company in the sector (Joint-Venture, partnership etc.).
Profil
Graduated from a management and/or accounting formation from a university or a business school, you have at least 8 years of experience in a similar position, and have been involved in large projects, especially in an international environment and if possible in Africa.
Mastering accosting, taxation and management issues.
The spirit of initiative, the rigor and good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
This job will fit a recognized administrative and financial director/responsible, who wants to “boost” his career in an international environment.
