Job Description

Job Title:  Human Resource Manager
Department: HR, Admin & IT
Reports to: Head, Human Resource
Location:   Accra
Job Purpose

The HR Manager is directly responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, leading human resource programmes and practices, managing departmental employees and reporting to the Head, Human Resources.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibility

Carry out management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending Human Resource policies and procedures.
Maintain the organisational work structure by updating job requirements and job description for all positions
Carry out the Company’s staffing plan by following the recruitment policy; educating managers on candidate selection and conducting interviews
Conduct induction, orientation or training programmes
Maintain the pay structure by conducting biennial pay surveys; yearly job evaluations, implementing pay structure revisions and preparing pay budgets.
Carry out the performance management policy of the Company by training managers, ensuring each employee achieves expected work output
Schedule management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, counselling employees and managers
Maintain employee benefit programme by studying and assessing benefit trends and needs, recommend changes to management; direct the processing of benefit claims, obtain and evaluate benefit bids, award benefit contracts,  design and conduct educational programmes on benefit programmes
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Ghana Labour laws regarding human resources. Follow due process, maintain records and represent the Company at hearings.
Keep and maintain human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system for both past and present records.
Perform other incidental duties and related duties as required and assigned.
Required Skills or Experience

MBA, Human Resource Management
Min 2 years’ experience as HR Manager and at least 7 years’ experience in the HR field.
Experience in working with senior management is a plus
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills / Abilities)
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in HR management, hiring, benefit Administration, performance management, communication processes, compensation and wage structure and Ghana Labour Laws.
Demonstrate presentation skills, critical thinking and analytical skills, leadership skills and financial management skills.
Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
