- The project seeks to improve the welfare of poor and vulnerable communities in the Gambia and Senegal who have been negatively impacted by recent prolonged drought. ActionAid would implement a program of locally-appropriate analysis, capacity building and training, focusing on women’s leadership, to help individuals, households, communities and their institutions to increase their resilience in preparing for and recovering from natural disasters. The proposed work will be done in partnership with local communities, organizations and government institutions.
