The Finance & Control Department registers the company’s assets, liabilities, revenues and costs in order to comply with the company’s legal and statutory obligations and to provide management and board of directors with valuable (consolidated) steer information being used during their decision making process. To do this a variety of processes and systems are being used.
As SAP Finance Specialist you are responsible for supporting all primary processes of the F&C department from a systems/applications perspective.
As such you identify improvement opportunities that are process or system oriented and you provide the organization and external consultants with the proper change documentation. You manage the implementation of these improvements as well. As SAP Finance Specialist you will be the one who is most knowledgeable on F&C’s systems and the way how these systems tie in F&C’s processes. You are therefore able to translate this to an efficient process and system landscape, and or safeguard the existing.
The SAP Finance Specialist is the primary liaison between Information Systems, Information Management and the Process & Systems peers within F&C department and other departments within the company.
Your responsibilities and daily activities
Core responsibilities contain SAP FICO, BW and SharePoint. You align these application with other SAP applications, such as BPC, MM and HR. In addition, you also manage the interface with INFOR and ORACLE;
Maintaining department’s systems (incl. follow up on user issues, authorization roles, master data management, enrollment new releases etc.);
Ensure excellent systems support towards F&C’s core processes;
Managing process and systems changes, like implementing new functionality;
First point of contact for system inquiries by users, P&S colleagues and consultants (SAP, BW, SharePoint etc.);
Provide training, insight, etc. in the use of a system/application (incl. document & content management);
Functional ownership of the department’s systems;
Provide standardization, conventions and guidelines in the use of department’s systems;
Propose changes and advice management about process optimization and system improvements.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in (Business) Information Systems or Information Management;
3 Years or more experience as SAP Systems specialist;
Experience with SAP, BW, SharePoint and excellent MS Office skills;
A customer orientation, strong analytical skills and you are sociable;
The ability to see the work pro-actively and to structure your own work and the work of others;
The skills to manage small improvement projects;
Affinity with the F&C environment would be an advantage;
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
