Responsibilities:
General Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the plant operations (production, safety, quality, engineering & maintenance, shipping, receiving, customer service, purchasing, administrative and cost management).
Ensure that all reports are hold accountable for their work but are treated in a fairly and consistently as required by the blueprint. Consistently improve the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines through the deployment of Lean Six Sigma.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Oversees and manages the planning and allocation of production resources to accomplish the plants goals, including preparation of short and long term production goals, delivery deadlines and asset utilization.
- Drive improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes and procedures leading to productivity and efficiency gains.
- Provide leadership for internal and external customers. Raise employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development and problem resolution in a way that supports the Blueprint.
- Provide direction, development and leadership to leaders and manage overall employee performance issues and systems.
- Help to deploy Lean
Manufacturing techniques in the area of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time deliveries, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures. - Ensure total manufacturing objectives are meet or exceed
- Manage all business to meet quarterly and annual profit and operating goals and all human, financial and capital resources of the plant.
- Develop detailed operating budgets for each fiscal year and assure adherence to the operating budget.
Qualifications: BA or BS Degree preferably in engineering, operations management or business.
- Fully bilingual (English / French)
- 6+ years of experience in similar function. (Must have prior manufacturing experience preferably with building products as well as extensive financial experience in operations, P&L, and cost accounting. )
- Require significant manufacturing knowledge as well as advanced interpersonal and manager skills.
- Six Sigma or Lean GB certification highly desired or ability to attain within 1 year
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task & handle task with competing priorities
- Microsoft office programs including MS-Excel, MS Word, and MS Power-Point, MS Access or comparable programs.
