Job purpose and key deliverables
We are looking for a Product Engineer to join Nicoventures in order to help deliver our e-cigarette’s sustaining innovations and continuous improvement programs in collaboration with key suppliers.
Key accountabilies of this role include:
– In collaboration with a multi-functional team and external suppliers, to generate product technical roadmaps based on consumer feedback and business needs that results in the continuous improvement of existing platforms.
– To implement best practice to design and test new sustaining products and get them ready for commercialisation.
– To co-ordinate the Customer feedback process, ensuring visibility, improvement and risk mitigations opportunities are in place.
– To ensure sound engineering best practices are met through the design and deployment process.
– To clearly identify technical risks and trouble shoot them, seeking support when needed from other R&D teams and external suppliers.
– To effectively lead the integration of supplier, consumer and business needs with required product improvements.
– To drive single point accountability and to identify and make suitable interventions to ensure project delivery.
– To monitor product opportunities and drive continuous improvement plans in conjunction with suppliers.
Essential requirements
– Broad engineering background, experienced in Electro / Mechanical aspects of Product improvement and deployment.
– Good knowledge of engineering design principles of products.
– Experience leading technical projects leveraging teams of people from diverse technical backgrounds, capabilities and geographies.
– Experience within Consumer Electronic Technical service domain
– Experience in manufacturing engineering
– Demonstrate commercial awareness and ability to manage both cost and value of projects
– Good Technical Project Management competencies
– Excellent inter-personal skills and real drive towards action
– Ability to work cross-functionally and with external suppliers
– Strong team player
– Creative, entrepreneurial, dynamic with a can-do attitude
