The ARM Young Talent Programme (AYTP) is designed to provide exemplary university students with the opportunity to develop an early career at ARM through an exposure to meaningful assignments that offer opportunities to gain real-world experience. The programme runs for a minimum of six (6) weeks each year. It is our chosen way to influence the development of talents in our environment.
The program offers our interns learning opportunity, via practical work experience, prior to entry into the labour market or progression to further one’s career. The AYTP allows ARM tackle some of the challenges relating to capacity building, by facilitating the creation and provision of possible employment opportunities for interns upon obtaining their University degree and completion of their internship programme with the Firm. In addition to working with the best people in the industry, our interns are provided with comprehensive training in an environment which is geared towards learning and are exposed to real life business projects, transactions and company initiatives. At the end of the programme our interns are also required to write a report and give a presentation on a Project topic in order to assess their suitability.
In addition to the technical skills and experience, the AYTP provides interns the opportunity to develop interpersonal skills through networking with other interns, current employees and clients. This is a great chance to get your career started at a leading investment management firm and gain some valuable work experience. We seek high quality students from all disciplines.
Successful participation in our programs could invariably lead to full-time professional employment with the Firm or an exclusive scholarship offer to study for a Post-graduate degree under our “Robert Akinjewe Scholarship Fund” Career Fulfillment.

The ARM Academy
The ARM Young Talent Programme will be administered through the ARM Academy. The Academy’s aim is to train all ARM staff members through a mix of development, management and leadership programs for personal growth, career advancement and organizational development.
The Academy will offer a Leadership Development Programme under its Leader Academy sub- section to support the development of leadership skills of candidates identified with leadership potential. There exists the argument as to whether a leader is born or made. At ARM, we let the employees’ actions shine through as we recognize that the peculiar skills possessed by a leader would be exposed in the employee’s interaction within the team and Firm.
Leadership grooming starts at a junior level, from the moment an employee starts with the Firm. We take pride in our leaders who started their careers with us and have risen through the ranks to become directors of our various businesses. Employees who have been identified would be taken through a career path skewed to the strategic importance of their future roles. The Academy exposes our employees to diverse learning opportunities designed to improve their personal skills, business skills and prepare them for working in the industry and socio-economic environment.
Structure
The ARM Young Talent Programme is intensive. For 11 months, your learning will focus on the fundamentals, methods and philosophy of our Investment Management business. You will apply yourself to the theoretical and practical aspect of Investment Management. You will have presentations, give daily reports on market updates, go on company visits, and attend training programs, seminars and conferences. This will culminate in participation on either a business project and/or contribution to our Nigeria Strategy Report.
You will have the same access to the full career support systems given to all ARM Employees. As part of our Talent Programme, we offer Leadership Development for exceptionally outstanding candidates with leadership potential identified during the course of the Programme.
At the end of your internship, you will undergo a formal assessment which will be used to assess your suitability for a Full-Time Offer with the Firm. Subsequently, based on your performance, you may qualify for sponsorship of your Post-Graduate studies. The assessment will consist of:
