Job Summary
Provide leadership and direction in the company’s revenue collection, liquidity, banking relationships and risk management in relation to the company’s financial operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the activities and tasks required in providing effective Payment channels and control control over revenue collection at all levels of the organisation.
Receipt and vetting of monthly funds flow reports from the Business Units.
Consolidation of Fund flow Reports received from Business Units and Preparation of Cash Flow Statement for the organization.
Reconciliation of Headquarters Remittance Account with Bank Statements
Raising of accounting entries for revenues remitted by the Business Units to the general ledger from time to time.
Receipt and review of weekly Banking Transaction Reports from the Business Units for accuracy and completeness
Supervision of disbursement of funds for day to day operations (Accounts Payables) at Head Office
Co-ordinate activities and champion efforts that ensure the continuing relevance and alignment of current operations, practices and processes with the best practices
Ensure the organisation-wide availability of documented financial policy and procedural guides/manual as well as the establishment of frameworks to ensure compliance with the organisation’s financial policies and procedures as well as regulatory and statutory requirements
Periodically review key financial indices, activities and performance and subsequently advise management on appropriate action to ensure Kaduna Electric’s business objectives are achieved
Serve on committees or cross-functional teams and perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Finance and Accounts Officer.
Ensure organization’s revenues are properly collected and accounted for.
Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all payment procedures.

Experience and Minimum Requirements
First Degree/ Equivalent; Professional Qualification (ACA/ICAN or equivalent)

5 – 9 years’ experience in a related function with at least 2 years experience in a managerial/ supervisory role
At least 2 years in a supervisory role
