JOB PURPOSE
  • To ensure Sales targets are met and policies and procedures are adhered to by assisting, guiding and motivating Sales Executives to deliver the highest standard of professionalism and customer service. To provide timely sales reports to the Sales Manger as required.
  • To be able to blend this job seamlessly with the job of ensuring the right mix of customer service operations, passenger check in, baggage, compliance and on-time targets are met in line with the objectives and instructions of the Head of Ground Handling.
  • To run the sales office and airport station operations assigned to the highest of standards in line with IOSA regulations and be available on the conduct of every operational, safety, security and quality audit as an when the scope has been defined.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  •  Supervise and coordinate customer service activities
  •  Ensure Sales Executives maintain high standards of professionalism by observing the Company’s grooming standards, ethics and etiquettes and other Company Policies
  •  Plan, prepare and design work schedules according to targets and workloads.
  •  Assess and evaluate work performance of staff
  •  Lead and manage the team of staff by assigning duties and ensuring the expected result is achieved
  •  Interpret and communicate work procedures and policies to employees where necessary
  •  Resolve complaints and answer queries from customers regarding services and procedures accurately
  •  Make recommendations to management on how to improve on revenue and services
  •  Train new Sales Executives and Travel Agents
  •  Run station audits as per instructed scope
  •  Ensure safety compliance, security compliance and quality compliance as per standard operating procedures
  •  Review and check performance of employees such as the accuracy of their reports and records from time to time
  •  Ensure that all Sales Executives are kept up to date with information circulated either via mail or notice boards.
  •  Regularly discuss the performance of Sales Executives with the Sales Manager and recommend training needs for them.
  •  Ensure the Sales Manager is kept informed of any challenges that are encountered by the Sales Executives
  •  Draw up the roster for Sales Executives and obtain approval from the Head of Commercial.
  •  Any other duties to be assigned from time to time.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION
  • IATA certificate in reservation and ticketing
  • Must be conversant with CRS
  • 1st degree is a plus
  • At least 2 years experience in ticketing and reservation
