Job Description Position Responsibilities
Contribute to the implementation of the annual site based HSE plan.
Drive the correct implementation of (global and local) HSE tools and provide HSE expertise to operational teams on risk areas e.g. Process Safety, Management of Change, Working at Height, Lifting and Hoisting, DROPS, Temporary Pipework, etc…
Execute daily site visits to verify safety awareness and support implementation of safe working practices
Conduct weekly Line of Defense 1 (LOD1) audits to operational locations/activities to verify compliance to minimum standards and providing feedback to site through visit reports. Follow up with site on progress of actions raised. Provide support to areas requested to assist in improving HSE performance.
Support weekly HSE meetings on site with contractors
Support safety incidents review and investigation. Work with investigation team leader to develop Learning from Incidents (LFIs).
Actively share lessons learned and safety best practices across well engineering operations
Analyze HSE data to identify issues and patterns. Report monthly data to Wells HSE Lead.
Support Wells field staff on use of Fountain Incident Database
Provide training to raise health and safety awareness and implementation of HSE programs, controls and intervention
Assist with the planning, monitoring and execution of high risk and unusually hazardous operations.
Liaise with DROPS focal point on site to drive compliance with Projects &Technology Wells (PTW) DROPS standards
Work closely with rig teams to catalogue and work the AIR (Action Item Registers)
Support execution and follow up on Medical Emergency Repsonse (MER) exercises and safety drills.
Provide support to develop bowtie analysis of significant events and provide plans for effective barriers.
Requirements Required Qualification/Experience
• University graduate in Engineering or technical discipline
• Minimum of 3-5+ years relevant experience within Well Engineering and closely related HSE functional role
• Technical, operational, and / or project background
• Good working knowledge of HSE requirements including HSE policies, processes, standards, procedures, with particular emphasis on their application in the planning stage and in the field
• Working knowledge about incident investigation and the ability to carry out incident investigations.
• Understand HSE-related aspects of local procedures, instructions, and permits.
