Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Quality Assurance and Product Integrity:
– Performs and conducts significant trouble-shooting, leads incident investigations in the laboratory and problem-solving using expert knowledge and skills and ensuring the corrective action is taken where necessary.
– Monitors and ensures reliability of quality control process by calibrating instruments, chemicals and equipment
– Captures/records results and executes quality related steps in SAP R/3
Product Formulation Development:
– Handles queries on formulations, checks and confirms findings. Maintains and updates new or revised manufacturing formulas/product specifications issued by Chevron Global Lubricants (CGL) Product Line Group
– Optimizes existing formulations based on results obtained on recent production and quality of raw materials to improve production efficiencies
Product Quality Control:
– Responsible for managing routine QC by conducting Physical and Chemical Tests on all finished lubricants and raw materials to release/reject products
Field In-Service Sample Analysis:
– Responsible for on-time analysis of Chevron products in-service (field samples) and requested competitor products, to be used for providing accurate recommendations regarding lubricant performance, change frequencies, investigation of performance problems and explanations for failures in the field which are not oil-related, thus avoiding claims against the Company
Compliance of Laboratory Tests/ Quality System Maintenance:
– Manages compliance of laboratory tests with external requirements such as round robin samples
– Ensures adherence to prescribed test procedures
Required Qualifications:
BSC Graduate
2-5 years experience in laboratory management, quality assurance, and quality control
Must have supervisory experience
Strong in development, implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the petrochemical industry
