Our Client, a diversified manufacturing group that has been operating in Nigeria for over 40 years seeks to recruit Machine Tool Operator:

1.0 Primary Job: Operate the Surface Grinder and Saw blade grinding machine to make ready the following tools for production:

  1.        Shear blade cutters for slitter
  2.        Shear blades for Z Purlin machine
  3.        Shear blades for CTL shears

1.1 Job Description

  1.        Receive the cutting tools from production and perform the grinding operation of the above tools
  2.        Maintain records of the operation performed
  3.        Dress the grinding media to enable perform the cutting edge sharpness
  4.        Maintain the machines in the form of regular lubrication, maintenance
  5.        Perform the Job as per the instruction of Production personnel
  6.        Perform the Quality check on the cutting tools prior to release
  7.        Maintain spares for the machine so that the machine is kept in operating conditions
  8.        Report any problems with the machine and perform the rectification jobs required if any
  9.        Be amenable to training to be provided in case this is required on the Job

1.2 Qualifications & Experience

  1.        Preferably a literate person, who can take instructions in English. Technical degree like any vocational training , diploma would be an added advantage
  2.        Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience on surface grinders and Cold saw blade grinding
  3.        Hands on experience is essential
  4.        In case of a higher skilled person a higher salary may be considered

1.3 Others

  1.        Place of work : Agbara, Ogun state
  2.        Salary range : 40,000 – 50,000 Naira / Month
  3.        Salary type : Monthly
