Job Description
In the area of the execution of the four (4) packages (UFR, OLT, Umbilical and Line-pipes), the job holder will be required to:
• Develop claims avoidance measures and assist with the resolution of contractual claims (Change Order Request) on day to day basis;
• Prepare, negotiate, and administer the cost aspects related to Change Order Requests / Change Orders on day to day basis;
• Estimate and monitor cost time resource activities for Change Orders on reimbursable basis on day to day basis;
• Monitor costs during the execution of the four (4) packages, determining the final costs of the packages on day to day basis;
• Track any event which may affect the CONTRACT Price and WORK TIME SCHEDULE on day to day basis;
• Estimate cost and make analysis of potential Change Order Requests when requested;
• Produce cost reports and cost monitoring against Change Order Requests / Change Orders when requested;
• Communicate contractual requirements to contractor and monitor for compliance when requested;
• Ensure data is collected and assembled for historical database of execution cost, schedule, resources and progress metrics when requested;
• Provide support in the areas of procurement and subcontracting when requested.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• He / She shall represent the four (4) packages (UFR, OLT, Umbilical and Line-pipes) in all aspects of cost/price estimating of the execution works. He / She shall manage the related cost and contractual matters, protecting the PROJECT and COMPANY’s position with regard to all variations.
HSEQ responsibilities:
a) Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives
b) Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system
Job Requirements
Qualification
: Relevant engineering degree, BSc in Quantity Surveying is desirable.
Professional Experience (number of years): Minimal 15 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Minimal 10 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry, good contractual knowledge, good communication skills.
The successful candidate will be expected to protect the Project’s contractual and financial interests while maintaining good relations with the Contractor. Shall be conversant in all aspects of pre and post contract quantity surveying duties, familiar with contractual obligations, breaches and remedies. Refer potential problem areas and advice on project costs. Have good knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs. Numerically accurate. Flexibility on being office or site based.
