Job Description
The Director of Studies shall be responsible to the Director-General for organising and conducting the Senior Executive Course (SEC) of the National Institute. Candidates should be committed scholars in strategy, policy, history, economics, and international relations. Regardless of field of studies, prospective candidates must have sound understanding of public policy environment in Nigeria. The position is for a term of 2 years which may be renewed for another period of 2 years. Candidates must be within the age bracket of 50-65 years.
Qualifications and Experience;
Candidates should possess a Ph.D in either the Liberal Arts or the Social Sciences with not less than 20 years cognate experience in a University, Research or Strategic institution, Public or Private Organisation, and must have attained the position of a Professor in his/her area of specialisation for et least 7 years.
Candidates should have the ability to initiate, develop and coordinate policy and strategy-oriented projects. He/she should show evidence of work and leadership experience with interdisciplinary groups and sufficient evidence of scholarly contributions in reputable journals and books.
A good knowledge of NIPSS would be an advantage.
