Job Title: Demand Planner
Description:
An opportunity exists for a Demand Planner reporting to the Supply Chain Director. The successful incumbent will provide customers with a demand forecast on tactical and operational levels so that informed business decisions can be made.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Compile and manage an agreed demand forecast
· Report on forecast performance
· Provided statistical base for sales budget
Requirements:
· Minimum B. Degree with a major in a financial, commercial or statistical field
· Minimum 4 years’ experience in a supply chain management role, preferably at management level
· Knowledge and experience in clearing and forwarding processes
· Experience in the management of a large data base would be an advantage
· Good knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
· Excellent understanding of inventory management
· Application of knowledge
· Decisiveness
· Above average numeracy in order to perform complex calculations
· Assertiveness
· Analytical thinking
· Software applications and system knowledge
· Practical research methodology
· Advanced statistical methods
