The Head Health and Safety is responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to and that policies and practices for safety are adopted. He plans, implements, monitors and reviews the protective and preventative measures that the company adopts in line with statutory requirements and works to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. He plays a key role in controlling occupational risk.
Job Requirements
• Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage
• Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities 5 of which should be in the management of Safety functions
• Excellent analytical skill, communication and interpersonal relations.
