Job Title: Junior Butcher
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Job Description:
Must understand the various types of meats;
Conduct block tests for all types of meat;
Minimize losses during block test;
Maintain cold chain; understand quality indicators in meats;
Ensure product availability on time;
Ensure consistency in quality;
Ensure hygiene standards are met;
Ensure asset maintenance;
Conduct stock takes;
Control wastages;
New product development;
Maintain safety standards;
Be product minded/customer minded;
Know equipment usage; ensure productivity;
Maintain cold/hot chain;
New product development
Qualifications and Requirements:
Good communication skills;
Time management;
Willing to work on weekends;
Attention to detail;
Ability to manage himself/subordinates/ team;
Team player;
Knowledge of various kinds of meats and cuts;
Knowledge of block tests and various cutting techniques;
Ability to cut various types of meats; de-boning skills;
Detailed knowledge of retail cuts;
Understand quality indicators in meats;
