IITA Recruits Field Worker – Mokwa (2Positions)
Field Worker – Mokwa (2-year renewable contract) – 2 positions
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for a position in Mokwa.
Duties
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties
Assist in the multiplication of open-pollinated varieties at Mokwa
Planting and pollination of breeding lines
Assist in multiplication of seeds of Open-pollinated varieties and hybrids at Ibadan
Harvesting, seed processing and storage of breeding materials
Assist in supervising casual workers during planting, thinning, pollination, harvesting and threshing
Assist in preparation of seeds for trials
Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Qualification and Experience
WASC plus at least two (2) years working experience in a research institution.
The ideal candidate must
Have good communication skills and be honest;
Be able to follow instructions and work independently where necessary;
Be available to work outside office hours, weekends and holidays.
