Brand/ Advertising Executive urgently needed by an international food and beverage company for its Ibadan, Nigeria operations
JOB ROLE
To support the development and success of the Marketing function of the company. To take responsibility for specific marketing campaigns and projects within the department and to assist with the implementation of the departments, policy, strategies and campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain and develop positive relationships with all venues and media partners to help achieve challenging income and audience development targets.
- To organize and manage specific marketing campaigns and promotional events from conception through to completion.
PRIMARY TASKS
The post holder is expected to carry out the following duties:
Management
- To manage and maintain positive relationships with venue staff and media partners.
- To support the overall marketing objectives of the company both externally and internally.
- To take responsibility for originating and planning campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and venue marketing staff.
- To develop promotional opportunities and ideas from conception through to delivery.
- Through departmental meetings and one to one interviews with line manager provide progress reports on campaigns to ensure effective departmental communications.
- Provide regular information where necessary to assist with the compilation of reports for the company board, Senior Management Meetings and other departments as required.
- Supply sufficient information to the Marketing Manager to enable effective budgetary control of specific areas of activity.
- To assist with the development and implementation of the company’s audience development objectives.
- To attend performances and other events as required out of normal office hours.
- To deputize for the Marketing Manager as required.
- To support the Company’s archive function by archiving relevant marketing material.
- To undertake any reasonable duties at the request of the Marketing Manager.
- Ensure the company’s management guidelines and policies are followed.
Strategy/Campaigns
- To assist with the implementation of the marketing strategy with specific objectives and targets as agreed.
- Take responsibility for specific campaigns as agreed with the Marketing Manager i.e venue specific campaigns and marketing and promotional events
- Maintain liaison with external and internal suppliers, assisting in commissioning and delivery of marketing material.
- Provide accurate and creative copy writing and proof reading skills as directed by the Marketing Manager and working to pre-agreed deadlines.
- Ensure that all printed promotional material is distributed effectively throughout the company’s departments and to its Board to include posters and leaflets.
Evaluation / Reporting
- To monitor the financial position of agreed areas of responsibility, working within pre-determined budgetary restrictions.
- To supply such information on a quarterly basis to allow overall departmental reports to be prepared.
- To maintain relevant statistics and information relating to the overall operation of the department e.g. Using Vital Statistics software Marketing activity, positive and negative box office responses direct marketing campaigns etc.
The ideal candidate must have relevant work experience (4yrs + in FMCG), school certifications and professional qualifications will be an advantage
