Our client is currently in need of a Fleet Workshop Controller; details are as follows:
Primary Purpose
To ensure smooth running, support, and management of DSC- Ng overall Fleet, quality repairs through company processes and controls.
Job Functions
- Provision of consistent levels and quality of service
- Achieving and maintaining targets set with focus on continuous improvement
- Proactive identification and deployment of workshop process and controls
- Priority and focus on fleet repairs and maintenance to company qualities and standards
- Overall accountability and responsibility for repairs and maintenance of DSC Ng Fleet at position level
- Daily stock requisitions are correct and accurately filled out ensuring all approval levels are in order
- Monitoring of parts, warranties and claims process controls reporting to management any variances that may arise
- Daily work load planning with focus on priorities of minor, major, accident, routine services and repairs
- Supporting and constant supervision of ground floor staff ensuring quality repairs and fleet downtime targets are met and improved
- Active, timely response and support to emergency and breakdown repairs
- Supporting and ensuring accurate and continuous serialization of documents used in fleet repairs and internal controls
- Daily documentation, registers, and reporting of fleet repairs and maintenance records as required by management
- Timely Job card opening and closing process ensuring sign offs required are fully met
- Active timely posting and updating fleet management software in regards to repairs module
- Active participation and support of all company rules and regulations and in regard to health and safety
- Supporting stores function in stocks quality controls and checks
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with workshop supervisory and ground floor staff team
- Focus and continuous improvements of fleet downtime against targets set
- Active engagement of other duties within reason that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
1. Extensive knowledge of Iveco, Renault, and Mack Trucks.
2. Min. of 5 years Post NYSC experience
3. Currently working in the same capacity as a Fleet Workshop Controller/Transport Manager.
