FLEET TYRE SUPERVISOR (Transportation – Iveco & Renault Trucks)

Our client is currently in need of a FLEET TYRE SUPERVISOR; details are as follows:
Primary Purpose:
To ensure smooth running, support and management of technical services fleet tyre department through company processes and controls
Job Fuunctions:
• Provision of consistent levels and quality of service
• Proactive identification and deployment of tyre management processes and controls
• Ensure tyre stocks continuity in line with business requirements and expectations
• Overall accountability and responsibility for tyre management and maintenance of DSC Ng Fleet- at position level
• Ensure that all fleet tyre registration and allocation details including movements are captured on the fleet management system
• Carry out daily fleet tyre inspections capturing and documenting details, and noting any abnormalities defects, and losses
• Ensure that all fleet tyres comply to running specifications set by manufacturer and company standards
• Daily tyre requisitions are correct and accurately filled out capturing required details and ensuring all approval levels are in order
• Note and capture any vehicle defects that may affect tyre performance
• Ensuring full compliance with all tyre management processes and controls
• Timely Notification to management of any irregularities
• Ensuring that all tyre registers are updated daily hard copy & Fleet management software
• Active participation in receipt of tyre stocks and put away
• On-time reporting of tyre deliveries and receipts
• Liaise with and follow up with stores on all tyre stock orders
• Active participation and accountability in monthly tyre stock takes
• Supporting ground floor staff ensuring fleet downtime is kept to targets set
• Active, timely response and support to emergency and breakdown repairs with regards to fleet tyres
• Active participation and support of all company rules and regulations and in regard to health and safety
• Active engagement of other duties within reason that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements:
1. Extensive knowledge of Iveco, Renault, and Mack Trucks.
2. Min. of 5 years Post NYSC experience
3. Currently working in the same capacity as a Fleet Tyre Supervisor.
