Dear Sir/Madam,
I am submiting to you my CV for employment in your organization as an Agricultural/Rural Development expert.
I am a female Ghanaian with over twenty (20) years of experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of Agricultural, community development and poverty reduction programmes.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture (BSc. Hons Agriculture) from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degree in Agricultural Extension from the University of Ghana, Accra.
During my MPhil course, I acquired knowledge, skills and experience in social research methods and proposal writing. I applied the knowledge and skills aquired during the course of my work especially during data collection, analysis and evaluation of projects/programmes.
I worked for a number of organizations including the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Traditional Energy Resources Project, Northern Region Poverty Reduction Programme (NORPREP) and UNICEF.
Knowledge, skills and experience I gathered while working for the above mentioned organizations include Agricultural extension/education techniques, participatory needs assessment/problem identification, participatory planning techniques, poverty reduction strategies, gender mainstreaming, decentralized planning, capacity building/institutional strengthening and child protection.
Haven worked in varied organizations such as the government( civil service), NGO, donor funded projects and the UN, I believe that I have all the requirements, competences and experiences which I hope to apply to achieve organizational targets and aspirations.
