Job description
Monitors changes in the fiscal and legislative environment of Nigeria. Ensures adherence to legal and contractual provisions in the various Farm-In Agreements. o Documents proposals on new business with a view to providing advice on the tax implications and management of such contracts. o Effectively communicates the roles of each party in a Contract highlighting any impracticality of joint/individual tax responsibilities of the parties. o Undertake tax due diligence of all new proposed ventures for all Total subsidiaries o Prepare tax models for new ventures and other financing arrangements. o Participate in negotiations with potential or existing business partners. Report and monitor developments in fiscal Bills before the National Assembly (NASS) by attending public hearings and other Government functions on fiscal policies. Develop good working relationship with Government liaison officers from other OPTS companies by exchanging ideas and in turn obtaining up to date information. |
Required skills
Education |
A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Admininistration |
Experience |
A minimum of 3 years experience in oil industry accounting and tax experience in a reputable tax consulting firm. Membership of (CITN) will be an added advantage. |
Skills |
