Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large Multinational FMCG group to recruit for the position of a Regulatory Affairs Manager.

Job description

The candidate should be familiar with a variety of the concepts, fields, practices, and procedures. He or she will participate in all activities relating registration requirements, government relations management and networking within key agencies and institutions to support the company’s business and sustain it.

This role is based in Abuja.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordination & preparation of regulatory submissions and strategies
  • Manage the final product submissions and negotiate and communicate effectively with regulatory authorities to obtain timely product approvals
  • Manage transposition of international standards into company product related requirements
  • Provide the Project teams with regulatory input in order to obtain timely regulatory approvals for the products as part of the product development planning
  • Update licensing and collect information on registration instructions and regulations from agencies
  • Defend company business interest in international standardization groups

Qualifications et experience

  • University level education and experience in a management role
  • A cultural awareness and appreciation of the local business and regulatory environment
  • Exceptional engagement & influencing skills – a credible advocate of company’s interests
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management at senior government level either in consumer, excisable goods or FMCG industry will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the business including the wider industry and the strategic planning process.
  • Deep understanding of the policy and legislative process and the ability to adapt it to business strategies and Planning.
  • Indepth and up to date knowledge of local political and policy-making processes
  • Ability to take both a strategic and tactical view of the business
  • Ability to apply project management principles to campaign execution
  • Excellent negotiation skills in developing cross-functional and external relations
  • Commitment and passion- attention to detail and a desire to succeed
  • Excellent written and spoken English
