Role Profile
The successful candidate will be part of the Sales/Marketing team located in Abuja, Nigeria. Following on from recent growth and success, and to facilitate an ever increasing local customer base, Interra Networks Ltd. requires a dynamic, motivated and proven Business Development Manager to focus on the Public and Private sectors of the ICT Market and other areas to be defined.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Identification, prioritization and pursuit of new and existing opportunities, including managing key accounts, developing strong relationships with clients, leading to deep understanding of their products and long- term business strategies
Work closely with delivery functions in ensuring successful execution of projects
Development and implementation of sales strategy
Analysis and monitoring of the competitive environment and market research
Building and maintaining a network of public and private customer contacts and partners in the country
Present Interra Networks to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities captured and explored
Have individual responsibility for new business
Managing and maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is current using Goldmine CRM software
You will effectively interact with other departments including the account management and technical team
Keeping abreast of issues affecting ICT companies and the ICT industry in Nigeria and collecting competitor intelligence
Ensuring Interra networks remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Proven success in sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process
Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’
Strong management skills
Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities
Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks
Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
Excellent organizational and time management skills
A positive attitude to dealing with people
Functional Competencies required:
Confidence to present a tailored presentation to potential client team by effectively using a range of presentation skills
Ability to deliver a tailored sales process to achieve targets /KPI’s by generating leads, asking probing questions, using most appropriate features & benefits based on clients needs and matching with a tailored solution
Ability to identify new business opportunities
A detailed knowledge of search engine / on line marketing i.e. Explain value of search and benefits in relation to other on line marketing
Ability to identify SEO issues and recommend solutions
Ability to manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailored documentation i.e. Presentations / proposals to meet clients needs
